Zeltzin Perez
Profile
Zeltzin Perez is the head organist at the St. Trinity Church in Geneva.
She studied organ at the Mexican National Independant University (UNAM) and harpsichord at the Superior School of Music (National Institute of Fine Arts) in Mexico. Zeltzin has also participated in the Master Classes of reknown personalities such as; Lawrence Dreyfus, Luca Giardini, Emilio Moreno, Benjamin Alard, Leo van Doeselaar and Guy Bovet.
Because of her great interest in Baroque music, she co-founded the "Ensemble Persei", dedicated to the spread of Mexican Baroque music and has participated in many Baroque music festivals performing both on the organ and the harpsichord: International Festival of Mexican Baroque Organ Music, historic Mexican City Festival, Ancient Music Festival at the National Center of Arts, Salle Manuel M. Ponce in the Palace of Fine Arts, Bias Galindo Auditorium of the CNA, and in the Nezahualcoyotl Hall at the Museum of National Arts.
Zeltzin has concertized in many countries: Organ Festival in Situ (Amsterdam), Gaillard Festival in Sciez, France and in Switzerland.
As a concert artist she has also perform as organist or harpsichordist with the Academy of Ancient Music Orchestra of the UNAM. She has been awarded many prizes for her organ perfomances, notably, First Prize of Mexico City’s National Organ Contest in 2015.
At present she is studying for her Master in organ with Vincent Thévenaz at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Geneva.
In April 2024 she will perform a program of Mexican Baroque organ music in Aubonne.
