Alan Woodbridge

Profile

Alan Woodbridge is a musician of many talents. He was an organ scholar at Trinity College Cambridge, UK , and regularly performs in England, France and Switzerland. Formally a student of Peter Hurford,  he has a particular affinity for the interpretation of the works of  J. S. Bach.

He is also a specialist in choral conducting, having spent 20 years directing the  Choir of Opéra de Lyon in France, and is now the Chorus Master at the  Grand Théâtre in Geneva.

He has done numerous opera recordings, including a Grammy Award won for the chorus and organ parts in Busoni's Dr. Faust.  His choir in Geneva was nominated by OpernWelt  for Best Opera Chorus Award for the 2017-2018 season.
