Francesco D'Urso - Trombonist /Sackbut

Profile

Francesco D’Urso has Diplomas from the Monopoli and Aosta Conservatories in Italy, and the Geneva Conservatory in Switzerland. He has studied with Giuseppe Guida, Andrea Bandini, Vincent Lepape, Stefano Viola and Abie Conant. In 2016 he received his Masters in Music Teaching from the HES Kalaidos where he studied with Stanley Clark.

M. D’Urso has performed with the Lausanne and Geneva Chamber Orchestras as well as the Lausanne Sinfonetta Orchestra. He has also worked with the Swiss Romande Orchestra, and the Philharmonic Orchestra in Turin.

He teaches trombone at the Geneva Conservatory and in neighboring France at the Conservatory in Ferney-Voltaire.

M. D’Urso is the founder and administrator of the Moya Trombone Quartet.
