Margot Boitard
Profile
Margot Boitard is an organist and choir director. She began her musical studies in Annecy by focusing on the piano and choral singing.

She finished the Conservatory with a Musical Studies Degree for piano, then discovered the organ and went on to pursue her studies at the Geneva Haute École de Musique.
She obtained a Master’s in Pedagogy for organ after studying with Vincent Thévenaz and Alessio Corti and then a Master’s in Choral Conducting with Celso Antunes. She also studied opera singing with Francesca Giarini and Claude Darbellay.
Since 2018 she is co-resident organist at the Temple de Chêne-Bougeries in Geneva.
She has been conducting the Villanelle Choir in Evian-les Bains since 2019, and the Club de Yodel Alphuttli in Geneva since 2018. As she has passion for teaching and working with children, she also teaches music initiation classes and choral singing. The Alexander Technique, the Feldenkrais Method, respiratory coordination and yoga are further skills she has mastered for her musical work, having incorporated them into her teaching.
She can be heard as a soloist or in chamber music on the organ and also as a conductor (concerts in French-speaking Switzerland, Annecy, Evian les Bains, Valence, the Sylvanès Abbey, the Swiss Organ Museum, and Romainmotiers Abbey).
