Arthur Saunier
Profile
At a very young age, Arthur Saunier began studying both the piano and organ at the conservatories in Caen and Nice under the tutelage of Emmanuelle Cecchetti and Olivier Vernet. After obtaining his Diploma in Music as well as a Degree in Classical Literature at the University of Nice, Arthur Saunier decided to continue his musical education at the « Haute Ecole de Musique”(HEMGE) in Geneva, Switzerland.
There, he studied organ under Vincent Thévenaz and Alessio Corti and continuo with Marcelo Giannini, as well as ancient keyboards with Pierre Goy. In 2018 Arthur Saunier graduated with a Masters in “musical pedagogy” and in 2020 , a Masters in “musical interpretation”.
Strongly attached to the notion of keyboardist, he embraces any possibility to play continuo or be part of an ensemble, whether it involves playing the organ, the harpsichord or the piano. As a concert artist, he is equally at ease as a soloist or as a contributing player with large ensembles, such as the Suisse Romande Orchestra or the Drôme Chamber Orchestra, as well as the Geneva Conservatory Chamber Orchestra.
In 2017, he was chosen to be the titular organist for the Temple de la Madeleine in the historic center of Geneva. As of 2022 he was named organ professor at the Conservatory Popular Music, Dance and Theatre in Geneva.
