Profile

Rebecca MacDonald studied piano at the St. Louis Institute of Music, Missouri, USA, and went on to study organ at the Yale University School of Music, Connecticut, USA.  She started working as an organist in the US and in Thailand (at Christ Church in Bangkok, which houses the only pipe organ in Thailand).  She then became one of the regular organists at the Church of Scotland in Geneva in 1993, where she continues to play most Sundays.  In 2006 she began playing also for the First Church of Christ Scientist, Geneva.  She performs in many organ concerts each year in Geneva.  As she is very much in demand to accompany singers, she often accompanies on the piano/organ for singers’ recitals and choral concerts in Switzerland and France.
